So, firstly, I’m still alive. This cold has taken it right out of me, and the time that I normally spend on reading and prep for my show has been spent sleeping and crocheting. Thank you for the kind words, I really appreciate it.

I was crocheting a hat for my friend’s baby shower which was yesterday. I’m really spiffed with how it came out, and they seemed to think it was cool. I didn’t take a picture of it, but it came out a lot like the picture put up by the awesome Veronica who made the pattern.

I have been doing a lot of reading though, but between my cough, squeeky voice, and the kid downstairs playing his stereo loud enough to make my teacup vibrate, I’m gonna take a day off.

I the meantime, I can very highly recommend DC New Frontier, The Exterminators (vertigo), and Red River (viz, but I’m on book 3 out 20 something). I am also working my way through what would have been this weeks new release, The Dresden Files. So far I am digging it, but then I loved the show and am happily 2 books in on the novels. It’s like Law and Order meets Harry Potter. I’m in heaven. If you haven’t watched the show, it’s all up on Hulu. It was not a long run, but what they made of it was great.

I want to be able to promise weekly podcasts from here on out, but next week is November. Christmas is coming fast in retail land, so I might just have to do them as I have time in the next couple of months. Once we are past New Years, things open up a lot though, and I should have plenty of time to read and share my nerdly joy of comics.

Ok, I have the kettle on for some tea, and I need to watch some bad tv and fold laundry. If I can swing it, I’ll have some podcasty goodness for you in a week.
